VA Clinics Closed to Observe Independence Day, PTSD Resources

In observance of Independence Day, VA Outpatient Clinics will be closed on Monday, July 4th. Emergency departments will be open & available, if needed.

The VA’s PTSD Coach app can help you learn about and manage symptoms that often occur after trauma.

While a celebratory time, the days leading up to and following July 4th can be stressful for Veterans with PTSD and/or survivors of gun violence due to the setting off of fireworks. Below are some resources to check out for yourself or the Veteran(s) in your life:

If you find yourself in crisis, the Veterans Crisis Line is available 24/7 by calling 1-800-273-8255 & pressing 1 at the prompt. You can also text the VCL @ 838255 or go to www.veteranscrisisline.net to chat confidentially. You are not alone.

Make sure to take all necessary precautions in whatever activity you engage in during the holiday weekend. Stay safe & have a great 4th of July!
